Founded in 2018 in California, JG Switzer Company is an artisan textile and home goods company devoted to the art of “painting with
wool.” JG Switzer fabric is ideal for residential and light traffic upholstery projects or wall art commissions. Similar to the natural variations found in wood and stone, no two pieces are exactly alike. Every yard is painted by hand using a process pioneered in the workshop of artist Jessica Switzer Green, who creates her work using a 7.5 ton repurposed industrial needle punch machine. With a background in sustainability and environmental business consulting for architects and designers, she is devoted to felted fiber art and artisan pieces via a smaller scale, workshop production model.
