The name Phantom Hands is an homage to the legacy of the artisans whose passed down skills manifest in each piece of furniture produced.
Working directly with the architectural foundations such as Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret and Sri Lankan modernist Geoffrey Bawa, Phantom hands reissues the timeless work of historical architects whose stripped-back, modern style was enhanced by combining local craft techniques in new and unconventional ways. With the addition of Phantom Hands to the gallery’s roster, AM Collective continues its commitment to re-envisioning heritage craft with a contemporary lens.
