Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, fferrone drinking vessels are exquisite sculptural pieces designed for everyday enjoyment. These have been crafted one by one and formed by hand without the use of molds. Informed by the designer’s early experience as an architect in Milan, the work aims to redefine the tablescape, push boundaries, and challenge archetypes. “My body of work explores the table, conviviality, and how to bring delight and joy through what is really an everyday object,” Ferrone says. “Probably because I’m Midwestern American, everything has to be a workhorse. It’s got to be highly, highly functional, almost utilitarian, while also being artful and expressive.”
