Darryl Westly is a mixed-media artist that seamlessly blends hyperrealism with architectural elements and idealized landscapes, reflecting on our understanding of self and surroundings. A graduate of Pratt Institute and the Cooper Union, Westly’s work, which vacillates between abstract and representational, invites viewers to contemplate the aesthetics of visual culture and its connection to the past and present.
Three of his works are on view at Salon for the current exhibition, Color Theory.
